Naidu’s decision to admit YSRCP MLAs into his party has turned out to be a nightmare for government officials.
With bitter rivals now belonging to the same party, there is huge competition to get all government works, pensions, housing schemes etc allotted to their respective followers.
For example, till yesterday, Gottipati Ravi Kumar of Prakasam was in the YSRCP. He has now joined the TDP, the party of betenoire Karanam Balaram. Many people have lost their lives in the feud between the Karanam and Gottipati families. With both leaders belonging to the same party now, they are vying with each other for supremacy.
The same scenario is being witnessed in all areas where the YSRCP legislators have crossed over to the TDP.
Caught in the cross fire are government officials who are incurring the wrath of one group for favouring the other. A majority of them are unable to put up with this torture and are applying for transfers.
