Now, no-trust move against Speaker!

Telugu Desam Party MLAs belonging to Seemandhra region are contemplating moving a no-confidence motion against Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, in protest against introduction of AP State Reorganisation Bill 2013.

The TDP legislators staged demonstrations near the Speaker’s chamber demanding passage of a resolution in support of Samaikhyandhra.

Later, after the adjournment of the House, they, along with YSR Congress party MLAs, stayed put within the Assembly premises and refuse to vacate the same till the Speaker withdrew the Telangana Bill.

TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav questioned how the Speaker could move the bill in the Assembly without calling on a Business Advisory Committee meeting.

“When there was pandemonium in the Assembly, how was the bill moved,” he asked and urged the Speaker to send back the bill to the President.

“Otherwise, we will issue a notice for no-confidence motion against the Speaker,” he warned.
