It looks like power star Pawan Kalyan has decided to confine his Jana Sena party only to Andhra Pradesh, though he has huge fan following in Hyderabad and other Telangana districts as well.
Though Pawan had expressed his anguish over the way erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated, he had never attacked Telangana leaders or belittled the Telangana movement.
But after listening to his speech at Kakinada, the people of Telangana have realised how much hatred he has towards the new state.
Even IT minister K T Rama Rao expressed surprise over Pawan’s statement that the latter had not eaten food for 11 days after the bifurcation.
“The power star not only attacked the Telangana leaders for commenting against their Seemandhra counterparts, but also sought to show the Telangana movement in a bad light. He spoke about the loss of lives during Jai Andhra movement, but not uttered a word about the suicides committed by the Telangana youth for separate state. This shows that he has no respect for Telangana state and his party is an out-and-out Andhra party,” Telangana film fans’ association leader Purnachander Rao, said.
Now that Pawan has taken a complete pro-Andhra Pradesh stand, he will not dare contest elections in Telangana. That way, he has clarity as to what his goal is, say analysts.
