After successfully holding dharnas to attack the failure of the Chandrababu Naidu government in implementing the crop loan waiver scheme fully, YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has now started dashing off open letters to the Chief Minister to expose the misdeeds of the government.
On Tuesday, Jagan wrote an open letter to Naidu demanding that all details of actual receipts and expenditures for the eight-month period (April-November) be placed in the upcoming Assembly session beginning from December 18.
Jagan said that information on various subjects was needed for a meaningful discussion on various important issues.
"The Union Government places on their ministerial websites up to date information on various subjects. For instance, the Union Finance Ministry has been placing on their websites www.cga.nic.in and www.finmin.nic.in every month complete details of Tax and Non-Tax Revenues, Net Loans raised, non-debt receipts, the revenue deficit, the fiscal deficit and also actual expenditure incurred on Plan and Non-plan expenditure," he said.
Jagan, who is also the Leader of the Opposition, said that since the entire accounting system is computerized, there should be no problem for the State Government to provide item-wise details on Tax and Non-Tax Revenues.
Jagan also sought details regarding number of students enrolled under the tuition fees reimbursement scheme, number of weaker section houses taken up for construction, number of pensioners deleted from June this year and the performance as regards the MNREGA programme in the State.
He also asked for detailed status report on the Hudhud cyclone - the extent of damage, the actual expenditure incurred by the State Government on input subsidies, compensation to the affected persons, especially to the farmers, artisans, etc.
