Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 25 to discuss the issue of special status and other promises made to the state during bifurcation last year.
This is just another publicity stunt following public anger in Andhra Pradesh, and nothing is going to come out of this meeting either.
Chandrababu has turned into a leading land-grabber in the state on the pretext of development and neither has he fulfilled a single pre-poll promise of his made to the Andhras.
The Modi led-government has also proved to be equally good at not fulfilling their pre-poll promises. So, when two such people meet, what hope can there be for the people?
If Modi does not agree to fulfill his promise of special status to AP at meeting, Chandrababu should immediately ask his Ministers in the Union Cabinet to resign and sever his alliance with the BJP.
And why should he think so long about it? Nobody is asking him to resign as CM? By severing his alliance with the BJP, can he not develop the State?
