One might be excused for thinking that Chandrababu Naidu was attending a wedding in Delhi judging by his entourage.
Root canal Ramakrishnudu, weight loss expert CM Ramesh, ‘Teaching Fish’ Ram Mohan Naidu and a host of other TDP leaders accompanied Chandrababu for his meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
But the significant thing was that not a single Congress leader from Andhra Pradesh was present on such an important occasion.
No Raghuveera Reddy, no Kiran Kumar Reddy and not even poor Chiranjeevi to lend some glamour to the occasion.
This is pretty much an indication of the fact that the Congress leaders in Andhra Pradesh are not keen on an alliance with the TDP. Also, this is not an alliance born out of goodwill or mutual respect but one out of political compulsions.
The Congress leaders of Andhra Pradesh are really loyal because they chose to stay with the Party even after bifurcation instead of opting for greener pastures like some of their more prominent colleagues.
They stayed with the Congress even though they knew fully well that they would be routed in the polls in 2014.
For these people to suddenly be friends with the TDP men and fight the polls together is something they are unable to digest.
