Telangana Telugu Desam Party members in the Telangana Assembly feel totally a neglected lot, as none of their colleagues in the Opposition has come to their rescue.
The T-TDP legislators, who were suspended from the House for the entire budget session for allegedly insulting national anthem, ran from pillar to post in the Opposition benches to get support seeking to revoke the suspension. But they failed to get the same.
Even their political ally Bharatiya Janata Party registered a nominal protest and did not seriously lobby for revoking the suspension.
On Tuesday, the T-TDP members staged a protest at Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary's chambers in the Assembly Lobbies. They tried to exert pressure on the Speaker to disqualify Talasani Srinivasa Yadav who resigned to the TDP and defected to the TRS some time ago. They decided to stay back in the Assembly lobbies for the whole night.
The Speaker, however, said that there was no consensus on the issue. The delay was due to lack of single opinion among other parties.
“I will soon contact other parties to take a final call,” Chary stated. He asked them to withdraw the stir as the ruling party will discuss the issue with other parties for a final decision.
