Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh on Thursday said no Congress leader was interested in occupying the Chief Minister post in the prevailing circumstances, if the high command wanted to replace present CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.
He told media that there was no possibility of removing Kiran from the Chief Minister post in the prevailing situation in the state.
“Nobody is eager to occupy the Chief Minister post and the chances of removing Kiran are very grim unless he voluntarily resigns,” he said.
Stating that Telangana formation was inevitable, Venkatesh asserted and said Kiran was firm on defeating the bill on Telangana when it came to the State Assembly.
He demanded Alampur and Gadwal areas should be merged with Kurnool district if bifurcation was inevitable.
