There will be no voting on the draft Telangana bill in the Assembly and the members could only express their opinions on the clauses of the bill.
This was made clear by none other than AICC in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs and general secretary Digvijay Singh at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday evening.
Replying to a question, he said the members could discuss the bill clause by clause and express their views. “No voting. Only opinion,” he said.
Digvijay Singh also asserted that there was no question of going back on the Telangana formation.
“The Congress Working Committee’s decision is final and it was endorsed by the Central cabinet. Everybody has to abide by it, including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy,” he said.
