Nobody should abuse Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, but anyone in the TDP Party can abuse and manhandle government officials and get away with it. This in short is the law of the land.
Visakha rural cops are apparently preparing grounds for the arrest of YSRCP MLA Giddi Eswari of Paderu constituency for the derogatory comments she allegedly made against chief minister Chandrababu Naidu at the anti-bauxite public meeting in Chintapalli on December 10.
TDP MLA, Chintamaneni Prabhakar can use vulgar language and rough up a lady Tahsildhar doing her duty honestly and the CM personally brokers a peace but takes absolutely no action against Prabhakar.
But when the livelihoods of tribals are being threatened and an MLA speaks badly of the CM, cases are immediately foisted against her?
Now, if the MLA has used derogatory language against the CM, she definitely needs to be taken to task but in the present instance, it seems to be a warning for the MLA.
A warning that no resistance to bauxite mining will be tolerated. Such intimidatory tactics were resorted to in the new capital region and now they are being used again in the agency areas.
