V K Sasikala Natarajan, who have been virtually ruling the AIADMK since the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, is now going to face the real jail life at Parappana Agrahara in Bengaluru.
The Bengaluru special court has rejected Sasikala’s petition to treat her as a special prisoner and provide her access to a private room, television, air conditioner, home-cooked food, an attendant and other such VIP facilities.
The court ruled that Sasikala would be treated as an ordinary prisoner. She has to share the cell in the women’s barracks along with two other women convicts who have already been there in it.
She has to eat the normal prison food supplied to all other prisoners. And she has to make candles every day for which she would be paid Rs 50 a day.
What a life for Sasikala, who thought she would become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu and enjoy a queen’s life!
