Highly stung at the TRS attack on him in the ‘cash-for-vote scandal’, Chandrababu Naidu said that from now one, he will not compromise with Telangana on any issue.
Obviously, he meant the Telangana government. But this is a decision that could have far reaching consequences.
Every time that Naidu refuses a compromise with Telangana on any issue, he will be branded as anti-Telangana by the TRS, something which they are very good at.
But indirectly, this might work out to the advantage of the Andhras provided Naidu doesn’t land in jail.
Any advantage conceded to Telangana is a setback to Andhra and by focusing only on the interests of Andhra from now on, Naidu would have benefitted AP to some extent.
For too long since the bifurcation, his desire of coming back to power in Telangana also has hampered many welfare decisions of AP.
