Is Jayaprada, glamorous film actress of yesteryears and former MP, interested in joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi?
It might appear as a prank played by someone in the New Year, as Jayaprada originally belongs to Rajahmundry and has no connection whatsoever with Telangana unlike other actress-turned-politician Vijayashanti.
But for once, the rumour appeared true as Jayaprada went to the residence of TRS leader and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Friday and held secret confabulations.
Jayaprada called on Harish Rao at the Minister’s Quarters and greeted him on the occasion of New Year 2015. Nobody knows the reason. She does not even have any irrigation project contracts in Telangana.
So, it naturally led to the speculation that the former MP might be interested in joining the TRS fold given a chance, as the TDP with which she was associated earlier is denying re-entry to her.
It may be recalled that the actress turned politician was women wing president in Telugu Desam Party. Then she switched over to Samajwadi Party and became MP with the help of SP leader Amar Singh.
