New Political Party In Telangana?

New Political Party In Telangana?

If the speculations are to be believed, there is soon going to be a new political party in Telangana State as an effective alternative to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

The resignation of former Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy from the Bharatiya Janata Party has lent credence to these speculations.

Surprisingly, Yennam criticized not only the BJP, but also the Telugu Desam Party, the Congress and the TRS, stating that they had failed to protect the interests of the people. He said the Opposition parties lacked were no alternatives to the ruling TRS.

Apparently, Yennam is planning to launch a new political outfit in association with another disgruntled BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy.

And they are said to be planning to rope in Telangana JAC chairman M Kodanda Ram, thereby galvanizing the Reddy community to pose a challenge to Velama-dominated TRS, cashing in on the growing unrest among the people.

If Kodanda Ram joins the new party, it would be a big threat to the TRS, as he enjoys a lot of credibility among the people.

Taking a jibe at the ruling party, Srinivas Reddy alleged that corporate organizations were ruling the state.

“We will form a political platform next year to take on the anti-people policies of the ruling party. The TRS government has belied the hopes of the people,” the former MLA charged.
