Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who entered his new official-cum-residential bungalow at Begumpet on Thursday, sought to defend the construction of the new complex, saying it was only for the all-round development of the state.
According to KCR, Janahita Conference hall, which is a part of the building Complex would immensely help to interact with a cross section of people from all hues to formulate the government, policies, programmes and monitor the implementation of several schemes.
“All walks people; women, farmers, artisans, workers and a host of others would now be able to attend the direct interactions to be held on regular intervals at Janahita Conference Hall,” he said.
KCR further said the state government would bear the travel expenses of the people who would come to Hyderabad to meet him.
The government would also utilise the opportunity to find out on how several government schemes and programmes are being implemented at the field level and accordingly the State government would modify its action plan, he said.
What is interesting is that KCR wants to use the new bungalow to host parties for various religious festivals.
“Henceforth events like Christmas dinner, Ramzaan Iftar party, Ugadi Panchanga Sravanam would be held in Janahita,” he said.
