There are no permanent friends or foes in politics and it includes politicians and their relationship with the media.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in order to boost his ‘Sakshi TV’ had entered into a tie-up with a national channel.
While Sakshi eventually did not benefit in any way from the deal, the national channel got paid crores of rupees.
Initially, they used to cover each and every small event of Jagan. But the channel now seems to have severed its ties with ‘Sakshi’ and the YSRCP as Jagan’s dharna in the national capital hardly merited a mention in the channel.
Being a national player, it could actually manipulate a regional party. Having said that, it only reinforces the notion of there being no permanent friends or foes in politics.
