Nandigram like stir against aqua food park!

Nandigram like stir against aqua food park!

If one were to go by the situation in the villages in and around Bhimavaram in West Godavari district, the Telugu Desam Party government in Andhra Pradesh is in for deep troubles in the coming days.

Following the death of five workers in the aqua processing plant at Mogalturu, the farmers have turned their ire at the Godavari mega aqua food park at Tundurru which they have been opposing right from the beginning.

On Friday, they tried to attack the plant but the police drove them away. A tense atmosphere is prevailing in the area.

Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan too, expressed his anguish over the Thursday incident by posting a series of messages on twitter under #AnandaAquaGasLeak. He demanded stern action against the callous natured management. He recollected that the same incident happened in 2012 in the same factory, but no action was taken.

He requested the environmentalists to come forward and assess the damage and expressed that his party will support them. He further warned the government to avoid high handed measures as it may result in violence similar to Nandigram.

He took a jibe at the TDP leaders and said “it’s up to the wisdom of the leaders of TDP with all their administrative and political experience; how they will stand by people of West Godavari who supported them in winning all the assembly segments”
