If an MLA from his own community or someone belonging to his community indulges in misdeeds, Chandrababu Naidu goes soft on them. But if the culprit is someone else then he initiates measures on a war footing.
For example, TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar roughed up a lady Tahsildhar and has numerous complaints pending against him. But no action is taken against him.
Similarly, in the Rishiteshwari incident, no action was taken against the Principal as he belonged to the same community as Naidu.
And there is no further news regarding the alleged assault by the daughter of Kodela Siva Prasada Rao on another lady in Narasaraopeta.
But when daily- wagers died in Vijayawada after consuming illicit liquor, the government was quick to foist cases against ex-MLA Malladi Vishnu and his relatives.
Now, culprits should definitely be taken to task irrespective of their caste or political affiliations. If only Naidu were to display the same zeal when it comes to taking action against offenders from his own community.
