Not long ago, when Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, during a rally in Hyderabad, made some strong comments against a Telangana MLA who had defected from the TDP into the Telagnana Rashtra Samithi to become a minister.
A video of his speech is now going viral in the social media. Needless to say, the video clip was posted by YSR Congress party, on the occasion of four of its MLAs who had defected to the TDP, taking oath as ministers in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet at Velagapudi on Sunday.
The video clip shows Naidu questioning the propriety of the TDP MLA becoming the minister in the TRS cabinet without resignation.
“Is it not violation of Constitution? Is it right for that person to be inducted into the cabinet while he still continues to be the TDP member? He should have resigned from the party and contest the elections again to win the seat. My dear brothers, do you justify his act?” Naidu was seen asking the people.
Now, the same TDP president has inducted four of the YSRC MLAs in the cabinet without any regard for the Constitution.
“If other party does, it is prostitution; and if you do, does it become legally married life? You had demanded the resignation of your party MLA who defected to the TRS.
Will you get these defector-ministers to resign from their seats and win again, Mr Naidu?” the YSRC asked in the video clipping.
Any answer, Mr Naidu?
