YSR Congress party on Friday accused Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to gain cheap publicity even from the court summons, which were nothing but part of natural judicial proceedings.
“The publicity mania of Chandrababu Naidu has always been at its peak. He is trying to get publicity even for court summons which has come in the natural judicial proceedings,” YSRC MLA G Srikanth Reddy said.
“The court issuing notice under non-bailable sections for failing to responding to earlier notices is a common judicial proceedings, but Naidu and his friendly media are trying to blow it out of proportions,” he alleged.
The warrant by Dharmabad court comes in wake of the petition filed against Chandrababu Naidu and his associates for protesting against the construction of Babli dam in Maharashtra way back in 2010.
Chandrababu Naidu did not respond to earlier notices and the fresh one was issued by the court summoning him.
“The issue is being blown out of proportion by him and his friendly media. Instead, the ethical issue of retaining the spouse of Maharashtra Minister on the TTD Board comes into light with no convincing answer.
Questions are raised as to why the member from Maharashtra is still with the Board. Despite pulling out of the NDA coalition what makes him to retain the spouse of Maharashtra Minister on TTD Board is beyond any reasonable comprehension,” he said.
TDP has been trying to politicise the issue after its misadventure in buying MLA from the neighbouring state.
“While he has always been blunting the efforts of irrigation project right from Pothireddypadu Reservoir, he is now trying to don a new avatar as a farmer friendly which hardly suits him,” Reddy said.
