Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu generally makes comments very carefully and thinks twice before making statements, especially on public platforms.
But of late, Naidu appears to have been losing control on himself. He has been going overboard in projecting himself as the senior most politician and most efficient administrator.
He has been making tall claims, taking credit for everything, even for the schemes and programmes taken up during the Congress regime.
And in his eagerness to boast about his achievements and that of his party, Naidu has been resorting to blatant lies. He does not know what he is talking about, and is least bothered even if people ridicule his claims.
On Monday night, addressing the rally at Tirupati, too, Naidu made very tall claims about his government and his administration.
He went to the extent of claiming that the TDP had the credit of fighting against even the mighty British.
Actually he wanted to say that the Telugu people had the history of fighting even against the British, but in his eagerness to take credit for everything, he said in a slip of the tongue that the TDP had fought against the British.
The netizens did not lose much time in trolling Naidu.
“How can the TDP which was founded in 1982 fought against the British? May be Naidu was talking about his earlier life,” a netizen commented.
Some netizens started morphing the pictures of the India’s freedom movement and showed Naidu participating in the agitations along with Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
“Naidu has gone mad. He should be taken to a hospital immediately,” said another netizen.
