Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who considers himself as great administrator, is now trying to teach a lesson or two to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how to manage bureaucracy and govern the country.
On Friday, Naidu blamed it on Modi for encouraging inefficient officials by posting them in higher positions.
He alleged that Modi had dumped inefficient officials from Gujarat in New Delhi. He said that the authorities at the helm of higher institutions must be efficient, but Modi brought the inefficient officials from Gujarat with vested interests.
“That will cause more damage to the governance across the country and it will continue for some more time,” he said while discussing the performance of collectors and other IAS officials in the State at the collectors’ conference in Undavalli in Guntur.
He observed that Modi might get temporary satisfaction but it will harm the country for long time.
He observed that the efficient officials must be taken into Union Government if Modi really wanted to provide good governance. But it had not happened, he added.
The chief minister also suggested officials to give publicity to the government programmes being implemented by the Government.
He said despite of rendering good service and providing welfare, the public satisfaction is not as expected, because of failure in creating awareness among public, he added.
