Finally, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has officially dumped the Telangana saying the Centre should go by the majority people’s opinion against the division.
Making a U-turn on Telangana issue, Naidu said on Sunday that a majority of people in the State were in favour of united Andhra Pradesh.
Therefore, he said that the sentiments of majority of people should be respected.
Describring the GoM on Telangana as "Gang of Ministers", Naidu said that it finalised the draft Telangana Bill in a short span without giving others an opporunity to review it.
He said that the Telangana formation process should be stopped and justice should be done with the people of Seemandhra region. He said he would soon write letters to the President of India and leaders of other political parties on this issue.
Evading a direct reply on whether he was considering rejoining the NDA, Naidu said that he would support an alternative of the Congress party.
