Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appears to be suspecting the role of his own security personnel in the alleged tapping of his telephones by the K Chandrasekhar Rao government.
It was evident by the sudden transfer of security personnel at the residence of Naidu.
According to sources, Naidu was concerned with the surfacing of an audio tape containing conversation between him and Telangana nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson. Following intelligence inputs, Naidu became alert and changed his security personnel at his residence as a precautionary measure.
The security at Chandrababu Naidu’s residence was entrusted with an Additional SP rank official. Similarly, the AP Chief Minister effected changes in the Grey Hounds and Intelligence personnel.
During the AP Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Chief Minister expressed his displeasure at AP Director General of Police J. Ramudu over his phone tapping incident.
