Telugu Desam Party president and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday came in support of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s demand for rejection of Telangana bill and returning the same to the Centre.
Naidu was reacting to Panchayatraj Minister K Jana Reddy’s query on the Chief Minister’s demand.
Jana asked Speaker Nadendla Manohar to give a ruling on whether the Chief Minister had the right to send back the Telangana Bill to the Centre.
Surprisingly, instead of the Speaker, Chandrababu Naidu reacted to Jana Reddy’s doubt, and said that the House had every right to send back the Bill which was a bunch of mistakes.
The TDP president said the House would not accept the Bill.
“I am the most senior and experienced member. I worked eight and half years as Chief Minister and worked as opposition leader for two terms and dictated the national politics. I know everything,” Naidu said.
He, however, felt that the Chief Minister should have sent back the draft bill immediately after it was sent for the opinion of the legislature.
