Naidu Suffering From Dementia?

Naidu Suffering From Dementia?

Is Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu showing signs of short-term memory loss?

The answer is said to be yes, according to sources quoting a few TDP leaders and also officials who are in regular touch with him.

Sources said for the last few months Naidu had been showing signs of dementia. It is a symptom of senility (ageing), which causes gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember. The other common symptoms include emotional problems, problems with language and a decrease in motivation.

“Earlier, Naidu had a very sharp memory. He used to remember the names of even mandal-level party workers and identify them though he saw them after several years. Now, he is not able to quickly identify even bigger leaders and he is taking his own time to recollect their names. The officials, too, are now forced to remind him more than twice on important decisions he has to take and meetings he has to attend,” sources said.

Of course, dementia is age-related problem. After all, Naidu is now 65 years old and he cannot be as agile as he was 10 years ago. But since he is in key position, he has to go a little cautiously.

Perhaps that was one of the reasons why he had bungled in the cash-for-vote scam and got exposed!
