Naidu Predicts Defections From YSR Congress

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu predicted defections from the YSR Congress to the opposition TDP in the New Year.

Speaking in Nellore on Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu said that the year 2022 had seen the beginning of change in AP politics.

He claimed that people were coming to his party meetings in large numbers and that would further increase in the new year.

The increasing gathering of the people would turn into vote bank for the TPD, Naidu claimed.

He said that the squabbles have started in the ruling YSR Congress and the year 2023 would see the party MLAs and senior leaders leaving the party.

“We are ready to take good leaders from any political party. We would also welcome neutrals into the party in the new year,” Chandrababu Naidu said.

The squabbles he meant was the dissent voice raised by YSR Congress MLA and former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who expressed his displeasure over the party’s and the government’s poor performance.

What Naidu with all his four decades of experience in politics is missing is that Anam’s remarks are based on the indications that he had from the party leadership about his drop from the 2024 elections.

Ramanarayana Reddy is one of those 40 MLAs who would be denied the party ticket and whose names that Jagan Mohan Reddy had announced during the recent review meetings.
