Has power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan back in the fold of Telugu Desam Party headed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu?
The answer seems to be yes, if the talk making rounds in a section of media is true.
For the last few days, there has been no statement from Pawan Kalyan attacking TDP or Naidu seriously.
Especially after his return from the United States and Europe trip, Pawan has virtually gone silent on Naidu and his government.
Even when he spoke to his party workers and supporters on the New Year Day at Vijayawada, he only said the electioneering has begun, but there was no call to the people to defeat Naidu.
At the same time, Naidu also has not been making any allegations against Pawan Kalyan as he was doing in the past saying that the Jana Sena Party chief was a puppet in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
For the last few days, Naidu has been targeting BJP, YSRC and TRS, but ignoring Jana Sena. When media questioned him about Pawan returning to TDP fold, he launched a counter attack asking how it mattered to YSRC.
On Wednesday, too, TDP’s AP unit president Kala Venkat Rao said his party would welcome if Pawan joined hands with Naidu again.
According to a report, Pawan Kalyan had struck a deal with Naidu over seat sharing.
Apparently, Naidu had promised to allot 25 assembly seats and three MP seats to Jana Sena in the coming general elections. And the TDP would bear the entire election expenditure of Jana Sena candidates.
Interestingly, the report said Pawan Kalyan won’t contest the elections this time but field his party candidates. May be he is afraid that his image would receive severe beating, if he loses th elections!
