At a time when the YSR Congress party is going all out against the TDP government for diluting the farm loan waiver scheme, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is making every effort to gain political mileage out of it.
The Chief Minister asked the party leaders and cadre to popularize the loan waiver scheme and see that there would be no negative talk about the dilution of the scheme. And he, too, is planning to launch a massive publicity to gain credit for the same.
Naidu on Friday declared that the credit of waiving off loans of farmers goes to TDP, as it had taken the land mark decision to provide relief to farmers who had taken loans up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
He told a meeting of party workers that the decision was taken to relieve toiling farmers from debt burden.
