Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided not to accept the resignation of his communication advisor Parakala Prabhakar.
Parakala submitted his resignation letter to Naidu in the afternoon to counter the allegations of YSR Congress party that the latter was using him for doing backroom negotiations and bargaining with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Within no time, there was a leak from the Chief Minister’s Office that Naidu would not accept the resignation of Parakala.
“There is no question of accepting Parakala’s resignation. In fact, there is no need for him to resign just because some people made baseless allegations.
Everybody knows that Parakala and his wife Nirmala Sitaraman had different political thoughts. While Nirmala supported the separate Telangana movement, Parakala strongly opposed the bifurcation of combined state,” the CMO sources said.
Agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy also said there was no need for Parakala to resign based on the baseless allegations levelled by some accused in criminal cases.
“It is an open secret that Jagan has been making allegations at the behest of the BJP,” he said.
