AP Backward Classes Association president R Krishnaiah has extended his open support to the Telugu Desam Party in the coming elections following the announcement by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu that he would make a BC as the Chief Minister of Telangana.
And with a hope to get into the top seat, Krishnaiah himself is getting ready to fight the assembly elections on the TDP ticket.
But the BC leader is likely to face a big disappointment, if one were to go by TDP Telangana committee working president Errabeli Dayakar Rao.
Referring to the statement of Naidu that a BC leader would be made Chief Minister of Telangana State, Errabelli on Wednesday said Naidu had only said that a BC leader would be made as CM if TDP is voted to power in Telangana; but, he did not say that R Krishnaiah would be made as CM.
Errabelli said if family members of Telangana martyrs were given tickets on behalf of JAC, the TDP would not field any candidate in those constituencies.
