It looks like Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao are competing with each other not in taking up developmental programmes, but in wasting public money for their own luxuries.
The other day, KCR got his entire convoy of vehicles changed from Toyota Fortuner cars to expensive Land Cruisers spending more crores of rupees and making them bullet proof.
It was only last year that he got his cars changed soon after assumption of office as the Chief Minister.
Besides, he spend several crores of rupees on remodeling his camp office at Begumpet and also in the Secretariat in the name of Vasthu. He also acquired huge premises adjacent to the camp office by spending huge amounts to extend his camp office.
Not to be outdone, Chandrababu Naidu also spent crores of rupees on vehicles and his travel from Hyderabad to different parts of Andhra Pradesh, besides foreign tours.
And at present, he is getting his CM’s office spruced up on the eighth floor of Secretariat in Hyderabad by spending crores of rupees. According to an estimate, the cost has been more than Rs 8 crore.
Now, both the Chief Ministers are crying from roof tops over financial crisis in their respective states and several bills have remained pending for a long time!
