YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is not sparing his arch rival chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu even for a single day during his ongoing election campaign in Nandyal, fired yet another salvo on Monday stating that Naidu had gone arrogant with his ill-gotten wealth.
Addressing a series of road shows, Jagan alleged that the TDP president had been luring social groups with money or threatening them blatantly instead of seeking votes showcasing the development works he had taken up.
“All these years, Naidu had ignored Nandyal and suddenly developed keen interest only after the by-poll was announced. This shows his opportunism and he along with his men have been blatantly using money and muscle power leaving caution and ethics to wind,” he said.
He said the rampant corruption and the ill-gotten wealth went into the head of Chandrababu Naidu and the arrogance has grown along with his wealth.
The entire cabinet has fanned around the constituency and is making a vain bid to impress the voters who are vexed with the policies of the State.
“The only asset I have is value based politics and the inheritance of YSR’s ideals while Chandrababu Naidu has reached a stage where he thinks he can buy anyone with money which is nothing but arrogance,” he said.
He appealed to the voters to reject the TDP and the Nandyal by-election will be an indicator to the general elections coming in 2019.
“This is not a vote for MLA but it will be against the policies of Chandrababu Naidu being pursued for the past three years. This vote should reflect the ire of the people and serve as a warning to the leaders who go back on their poll promises,” he said.
