Naidu Going Crazy With Figures!

It looks like Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is going crazy with statistics to defend his own performance, through the ground realities are different.

On Thursday, Naidu declared at an official meeting that Andhra Pradesh has registered five per cent more growth in comparison to all India growth rate, in spite of issues related to bifurcation.

According to him, the state has achieved a growth rate of 12.23 per cent, which is five per cent higher than the national average, for the first half of the financial year.

“In fact, the target set for the first half during 2016-17 was 16.42 per cent but due to insufficient rainfall and other bifurcation issues, the state has achieved 12.23 per cent growth rate,” he said.

He directed the officials to come up with implementable action plans to achieve a growth rate of 14.41 per cent in the second half of 2016-17.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Energy department on their outstanding performance. Stating that the department stood first in the power sector he appealed to the other departments to take a cue from the energy department.

In order to achieve the desired growth rate, the Chief Minister said that industrial projects which are in pipeline should be grounded immediately and focus must be laid on giving a boost for promoting milk production.
