Senior Bollywood stalwart Amitab Bachchan on Saturday congratulated Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on his party’s resounding victory in the recent elections.
The Bollywood superstar telephoned Naidu and congratulated him for the victory of his party in the recently held general elections. This has surprised political observers as there is no direct connection so far between Naidu and Amitabh.
May be, Amitabh who had earlier taken part in pro-Narendra Modi advertisements in Gujarat, might have thought it right to talk to heads of NDA allies for supporting Modi as PM.
Interestingly, BJP leaders and actor couple Jeevita and Rajasekhar met Naidu. They wished and congratulated him for landslide victory of TDP. It is not immediately known whether they are expecting any nominated posts in the State in the wake of alliance between the TDP and the BJP.
