“We have fulfilled our promise of loan waiver to the farmers. Yet, we are facing criticism on a daily basis. We have failed to communicative effectively to the public that we have fulfilled our promise,” said Chandrababu Naidu to his Party MLA’s who met him.
It is clear from Naidu’s statement that he believes the criticism is due to ineffective propaganda by his Party machinery and in-house media ‘Eenadu’ and ‘Andhra Jyothi’. But Naidu has got it wrong!
The criticism is not the failure of his Party cadre or communications. It is Naidu himself who is responsible for the adverse publicity. Before the elections, he had announced an across-the-board loan waiver to all farmers.
After becoming CM, he has attached various riders to the loan waiver such as making ‘Aadhar’ mandatory for a loan waiver, limiting the loan waiver to Rs 50,000 for the first phase etc thereby completely diluting the spirit of his original promise. Hence the backlash!
Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi are doing a good job of eulogizing him as usual and projecting Naidu as the finest gift of God to the Telugu people.
