Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has virtually been caught in the crossfire between the Telangana and Seemandhra leaders, who have come down to the level of making personal abuses.
Following the open wordy duel between Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh and senior MLA Erraballi Dayakar Rao, the TDP president held a meeting with party senior leaders on Saturday to sort out the differences.
He reportedly pulled up the two leaders for publicly expressing their differences instead of using the party forum.
Naidu warned party leaders not to talk or indulge in anti-party activities. The issues, which can be sorted out within the party should not be raised publicly, he directed.
It may be mentioned here that Erraballi criticized Ramesh stating that the person who could not win local body election was made a Rajya Sabha member. In reply, Ramesh said “Erraballi is an illiterate who does not know the finer points of the law”.
