Naidu Begins Camp Politics In MLC Polls!

We recently saw how All India Anna DMK general secretary V K Sasikala had run camp politics in Tamil Nadu to keep the party MLAs in her fold and get her follower E Palaniswami elected as the chief minister.

In fact, it was Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who had first started this kind of camp politics to safeguard the MLAs way back in August, 1984, when his father-in-law N T Rama Rao was pulled down by Nadendla Bhaskara Rao.

Again in August 1995, Naidu held a camp with his supporting MLAs at Viceroy Hotel to dethrone NTR from power.

Now, Naidu is back in camp politics in the ongoing MLC polls in Nellore. Under his instructions, the TDP leaders in Nellore have started camps for the MPTC and ZPTC members and providing them all the luxuries, besides money and other benefits.

They have already shifted 350 local body members and are targeting to shift another 150 members, so that TDP candidate Vakati Narayana Reddy will win the MLC seat with 200 votes.

Yet, YSR Congress party candidate Anam Vijaykumar Reddy is confident because several TDP voters are supporting him indirectly.

YSRC candidate also arranged huge money to the MPTC and ZPTC members, though he is not operating any camps. So, the contest appears to be tough!
