Amid rumors that the Guntur police is coming down hard on farmers regarding the investigation into the burning of their lands, Chandrababu Naidu is believed to have asked DGP Ramudu to go easy on the farmers and ensure that his administration does not get an anti-farmer tag.
Apparently, the DGP’s office is quite bemused by this latest directive from Chandrababu Naidu as it was the latter himself who had ordered a thorough probe into the incident.
Now we all know that the Police have their own style of functioning and despite reservations expressed from time to time, it is quite effective indeed.
Hence, Naidu’s latest command has bemused the DGP as it is akin to killing the snake without breaking the stick.
