The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Thursday described TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as an inefficient and failed politician.
Party senior leaders Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the State was now being ruled by a person who has mortgaged the self-respect of the people.
They told media in Chittoor that Naidu had come to power by making false promises to voters and now, he was thoroughly getting exposed. "He has mortgaged the self-respect of the five crore people for his personal ends," they said.
Another senior leader of the YSRCP Kottapalli Subbarayudu demanded that Naidu step down as the Chief Minister as his involvement in the cash-for-vote scam is proved beyond any doubt.
Chandrababu should welcome the investigation into the scam and if he continues to be the Chief Minister there is every possibility of influencing the probe, he stated.
