Labour Minister Danam Nagender on Thursday said he would oppose tooth and nail any proposal to make Hyderabad as a Union Territory.
Speaking to media, Nagender said that the public representatives would become mere dolls, if the Centre changed the status of Hyderabad as a Union Territory.
He questioned whether the people of Hyderabad had to visit New Delhi every time to get their problems solved and assured that they would take the responsibility of protection of Hyderabad people.
On YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s criticism against Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Nagender said it was nothing but ignorance if Jagan thought he would become a big leader by criticizing Sonia.
