Former Central Bureau of Investigation director and presently Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Vijaya Rama Rao has given clean chit to his son Kalyan Srinivas Rao, who is facing a CBI case in connection with the default of over Rs 300 crore loan to banks.
Rao said as a father, he had to defend his son, who was innocent and falsely implicated in the case.
“I am saying this in the capacity of a father and not a former CBI chief. I shall produce all the evidence to prove my son’s innocence in a couple of days. I am pretty confident that Kalyan would come out clean in the case,” he said.
The ex-CBI chief, however, refused to divulge the names of those who had implicated his son in the CBI case.
“Everything will come out during the investigation. I don’t want to reveal any names now. If I do that it is difficult for my son to come out of the case,” he said, when asked whether Union Minister Sujana Chowadary was behind the fraud.
