Prime Minister Narendra Modi had aspired to have a cabinet with ministers having a clean image. But due to consistent pressure from Chandra Babu Naidu, he was forced to induct Sujana Choudhary into his team.
And Babu set aside all his caste, regional and social equations to recommend the name of Sujana Choudhary unanimously, given his close equation with Lokesh.
In fact, Babu himself acknowledged the same publicly. And that has silenced all those in the party who could have opposed the choice.
Though Babu could silence his own party members, the opposition parties cannot remain silent on the issue. So, the Congress party bared Sujana Choudhary at the national level.
They have disclosed that Sujana is the man who defaulted on repayment of Rs 315 crores to the Central Bank. They in turn questioned Modi as to how he could induct such a man into the cabinet.
In fact, Sujana Choudhary’s name ranks in eighth position among top defaulters in the country.
Now, all eyes are on Modi to see how he will tackle the situation. Or will Sujana Choudhary voluntarily quit his post with respect to Modi and to stop further embarrassment.
Well, Chandra Babu did put Modi in a rather tricky situation.
