The meeting between BJP national president Amit Shah and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan is public knowledge.

Pawan called it a courtesy call and a formal meeting, there’s more to the rendezvous than what meets the eye, it is being rumoured.

According to a story doing rounds in political circles, Amit Shah’s meeting with Pawan was organized at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As per the story, Modi had asked Shah to convince Pawan to join BJP and merge his Jana Sena party with them.

Ever since he has announced his formal entry into politics and started campaigning for BJP-TDP alliance, Pawan has left no opportunity to praise the expertise and ability of Modi as a good statesman.

In fact, he had also spoken highly about Modi during the launch meet of Jana Sena. And it is known that throughout the pre-poll campaigning phase, Pawan maintained that Modi was the ideal prime ministerial candidate.

Incidentally, he was also among the few south celebrities to be invited for the swearing in ceremony of Modi.

In appreciation of the pivotal role played by Pawan Kalyan during the 2014 general elections in Andhra Pradesh, Modi is said to have extended the offer to make sure that he can return the favour by gifting him a plum role within the party.
