Modi Throws Open Doors To KCR?

It looks like Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thrown open doors for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for a compromise in the coming days.

Notwithstanding the TRS alliance with the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, the Modi government has indicated to TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao that it would not show any discrimination against the TRS government in Telangana. This was conveyed to the TRS chief by senior BJP leader and Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.

Venkaiah on Saturday made it clear that the Centre would not show any partiality towards the TRS government. He told media that the Centre was committed to development of Telangana in all aspects by implementing all pre-poll promises. However, he reminded the TRS, albeit indirectly, that any development was possible only with cordial relationship with the Union government.

He reiterated that the Centre would not show partial attitude towards Telangana even if TRS or its government failed to cooperate with it, the Union minister said. Except in Kerala, BJP won in all the southern States and the victory has given more responsibility to the party, he said.
