A Pune-based organisation, Bharatiya Chatra Sansad, in partnership with MIT School of Governance, declared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as “Aadarsh Mukhyamantri Puraskar” (Model CM Award) in its 6th annual session on Saturday.
The Sansad stated that Chandrababu Naidu has become icon for good governance in the country and is one of the seven living wonders in the world.
The Sansad is felicitating him for being a role model to the youth of the country and for steering the new state of Andhra Pradesh since bifurcation and at a critical juncture.
The political life and contribution of Naidu has strengthened the democratic system in the country, they stated, it said.
However, one wonders whether there is any authenticity for this award or does this organization have any credibility.
One might claim that the organization had the partnership with MIT School of Governance, US. However, after having seen the drama played by Chicago State University with dubious credentials which had declared doctorate award to Naidu, one would definitely get the doubt that the Pune-based organization also might be one such kind.
In any case, it is surprising as to how Naidu can become a role model for other Chief Ministers, because he has hardly done anything for the people so far.
Yet, Naidu is overwhelmed by this award. In his message to the large gathering of the student community, Naidu has lauded the exemplary work being done by Sansad in motivating and promoting youth into value based politics. He explained the development initiatives undertaken in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also welcomed the MIT School of Governance management to establish a world class institution at Amaravati to cater to the needs of national and international students in partnership with Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
