With the administration in Andhra Pradesh being virtually in limbo, unrest is said to be brewing among several ministers of the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet.
As the TDP rule is nearing half-way mark, these ministers are wondering as to how recover the expenditure they had incurred on elections in 2014 and how to gear up for the 2019 elections.
All of them have virtually gone bankrupt, as there is no way they are able to make money with developmental activities have come to a standstill.
Naidu is focussing mostly on Amaravati and its Singapore connection, besides Polavaram, while there are no other major developmental activities that would provide an opportunity to ministers to make some money.
On record, Naidu has been warning them against indulging in corrupt activities like land settlements and sand dealings, fearing that they might bring bad name to the government.
Apparently, the ministers expressed open displeasure during the recent meeting with Naidu. They said they would have follow their own routes to make money, since they have to contest the coming elections.
Some of them have already started their own works in their constituencies. Though Naidu came to know about it, he is not able to take action against them as it would create troubles in the party and the cabinet, say sources.
