Migrations To YSRCP Pick Up Momentum

A season of political migrations has pick up momentum. The YSR Congress Party is the hot destination for the migratory birds.

As YSRCP has taken a clear stand in support of the cause of united Andhra Pradesh, the elected representatives and other leaders from the Seemandhra are looking to join the party to secure their political future.

The former legislator from Rajole in East Godavari district Alluri Krishnamraju joined YSRCP on Monday in the presence of the party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the latter's Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad.

Jagan presented a shawl to the new entrant and welcomed him into the party fold.

East Godavari district is a politically sensitive region which always served as a barometer for the public mood ahead of elections.

"We will strengthen the hands of Jagan and the YSRCP in the district," Krishnamraju said after formally joining the party.

Meanwhile, the Congress MLA from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district Adi Narayana Reddy has announced his decision to join YSRCP soon.

He made the statement after calling on Jagan at his residence on Monday.

He said that he would soon hold a meeting of his followers in the constituency and would later join the party.

According to indications, at least half a dozen legislators, belonging to both the ruling Congress and the main opposition TDP, are ready to quit their respective parties and join YSRCP.
