Former Rajya Sabha member and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Anakapalle parliamentary constituency C M Ramesh on Monday got a surprising support from unexpected quarters.
Ramesh, who has been meeting prominent people and celebrities to seek their blessings, met megastar Chiranjeevi at his residence in Hyderabad and sought his support.
Chiranjeevi received him well and extended his best wishes to Ramesh.
“All the best Ramesh. My support will always be there for all those who want to do good for the people and stand by them. My blessings are always with you,” the megastar said.
He, however, did not explicitly say he is supporting Ramesh in Anakapalle parliamentary elections. He only extended his best wishes and moral support.
But that is enough for Ramesh, as he has to garner the support of the Kapu voters, who are in significant numbers in Anakapalle.
Ramesh hails from Velama community, which also forms a good percentage of voters in the constituency.
Chiranjeevi has, so far, not announced his support to any political party per se.
Even while giving the donation of Rs 5 crore to Jana Sena Party floated by his younger brother Pawan Kalyan, he did not say that he would support the party in the elections.
He never raised the names of any political party so far, appealing to the voters to vote for it. But the NDA alliance partners are claiming that they have the blessings of megastar!
