Telugu Desam Party MP from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency Ch Malla Reddy, who showered praises on Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday, sought to defend himself saying he had praised KCR only because he visited his constituency and said he had no intention of quitting the TDP.
Speaking to the media, Malla Reddy clarified that he did not praise the Chief Minister with any personal agenda.
He also made it clear that he would not shift his loyalty to any other political party. “There is no truth in the reports that I would desert the TDP to join the ruling TRS,” he added.
However, Malla Reddy’s praise for KCR definitely embarrassed TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, as they came at a time when the party is fretting and fuming at the TRS chief after the arrest of Revanth Reddy in cash-for-vote scam.
Both TRS and TDP leaders were trading charges with regard to the ‘note for vote’ scam. May be Malla Reddy is waiting for the TDP leadership to suspend him from the party so that he can jump into the TRS!
